A+A Cooren was founded in Paris by a French-Japanese designer couple, Aki and Arnaud Cooren in 1999. Their studio is multidisciplinary, including lighting design, product, furniture and interior design.

In their design which has all the sobriety of Japan, their intention is to reintegrate subtle nature in everyday objects, as well as in interior design. Their master is undisputed Sori Yanagi, because he has to squeeze the spirit of nature into the daily industry standards. “Our greatest pleasure is to awaken your desire." Aki and Arnaud met while studying interior and product design at ecole Camondo in Paris. After graduation, they created A+A Cooren, and began their professional and personal life as a duo.
Two years later, they realized the flagship store of Shiseido Europe, « Shiseido La Beauté » in Paris.

In 2004, their water pipe « Hawaa » for Har Design has been awarded « BEST OF NOW », by Maison & Objet / NOW!. In the same year, they were invited by CulturesFrance to participate Tokyo Designers Block where their coat-hook, « Dragonfly » was awarded by Frame magazine, « BEST PRODUCT TDB ».

More recently they have been working since 2007 for the interior design of « Hair Care Research Center » for L'Oreal (3000m²). Delivery will be in spring 2011.
